About Us

At 20 years old, Joanne found herself on a plane to the Cayman Islands with a one-way ticket and $100 in her pocket. She can't tell you why she was so compelled to be a part of this Island, but she can tell you that it was meant to be.

With no friends or contacts, she found a family of friends that lead her to the path of living her dream. The Cayman Islands gave her the chance to prove she was meant to teach MANY forms of art. She had the PRIVILEGE of being an art educator for "Grace Christian Academy" and "Work of Art" in Grand Cayman. The people of the Cayman Islands gave her the confidence to move toward her Entrepreneurial dreams.

Currently, Joanne lives in Kelowna, BC with her loving husband Ryan and their "baby" Rocket, a Silky Yorkshire Terrier. She serves on the Board of Directors for Kelowna Women In Business and is in life training with her business coach, Chantal Diaz. With her AMAZING business partner Janet McKenzie they run ARTivities With Funk and Cupcasions Handheld Dessert Specialists Inc.

ARTivities With Funk and CupCasions were created in 2008 and offer a range of services: birthday party hosting, professional face painting, cupcakes (of course!), creative classes, special events including weddings and much, much more!
